Pyrette Shiraz

Heathcote Bindi Wines

The Experience

The 2018 Heathcote Pyrette Shiraz from Bindi Wines was enjoyed at Melbourne’s Recreation Bistro x Bottleshop with a fine lamb meal and the wine was excellent. It offered a smooth experience with tones of red fruit and black pepper. Soft tannins, fragrant, complex and a tasty finish. Rating ★★★★★

About Bindi Wines and the Pyrette Heathcote Shiraz

The Pyrette Heathcote Shiraz fruit was sourced from the Mount Camel Range. The specific parcel of vines this fruit came from was from the highest block on deep red, rocky Cambrian soils on a cooler easterly facing slope. The wine was made in 1000 litre open vats, fermented with ambient yeast and matured in French barrels, 10% new. The yield, harvest date and winemaking was deliberately aimed at producing a wine of regional authenticity in a style highlighting fragrance, vitality, finesse and harmony.
