Review of Prunto Fiulot 2015

This red wine offered very good value, with a light, approachable a fruity flavour. The Prunto Fiullot 2015 red was an easy drinking wine with a light to medium body and soft tannins. I’m certainly buy this again, if the opportunity presented itself. ★★★★

About Prunotto Winery and Region

Alfredo Prunotto bought Piedmont cooperative winery in 1923 and took the cooperative to great heights and established the winery to have a an excellent reputation for quality. Alfredo Pruntto sold his winery in 1956 and is now owned by the Antinori family. Astiin, Piedmont is recognized as the source of the best Barbera grapes in all of Italy and Barbera d’Asti can be made in an array of styles from relatively straightforward, fruity and ready for consumption early, to the more concentrated, oak aged version with an ability to cellar impressively for 10-15 years. The Asti region is commonly associated the with Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti, both playful, aromatic, sparkling wines made from the Muscat grape. Asti is also the spot for the pink-hued Brachetto d'Acqui, a slightly sparkling wine ready to charm with its raspberry and rose flavors and aromas.
